~ "My major project is based around the idea of water and, in a way, the more disgusting elements of the human body. I plan to play with the ways in which the human body can be manipulated and magnified, even extended into the negative space, by the use of water - be it running smoothly across the figure or dribbling from between the crevices.

I intend to employ the use of illustrative and digital practices to create an item of jewellery that can be clearly connected to my passion for drawing and anatomy." ~

Whist I've tried several times, I can't really express how much in love I was with this project. It has helped me explore parts of my mind that I never thought existed, and open my mind to a world of inspiration and wonder that had previously only ever been able to briefly grasp.

The set above is the product of 15 weeks of work - of research, of experimentation, of personal exploration, of tears and blood, and of unexplainable passion. The pieces themselves compose of a resin block enveloping my vector image Objection which was based off a photograph of myself. The block has then been surrounded by gold and silver frames (gold for the pendant, silver for the earrings) which have then been drilled and pinned in order to attack the hooks and velvet cord.
